Child Care at FPC

We share our love of children by providing child care during worship services and many special events. Follow the signs outside the church building to the preschool entrance for child care. On Sunday mornings,

Infants and toddlers under 24 months are cared for in our nursery by a paid professional and volunteer church members. Our playroom is ideal for awake babies and toddlers. We have indoor play equipment, toys, and books, and small tables and chairs for snack time. Our sleepy infants curl up in our cribs in a separate quiet room and our rocking chairs in this room provide privacy for nursing moms. We have complete toilet and diapering facilities within the nursery. The nursery is open during all worship services and the Church school hour at 10 a.m.

During the 8:45 a.m. worship, two-, three-, four-, and five-year olds are cared for in our preschool classrooms by congregational moms, dads, and couples who love children. The classroom groups are divided by ages. Our children love the colorful art work, puzzles, toys, building blocks, dress up corners, play kitchens, art supplies, and books. Each classroom opens onto our fully equipped playground. At the 11:15 a.m. worship, two- through five-year olds are cared for in a single classroom by loving congregational members.

At the 8:45 a.m. worship, Kindergartners through 3rd graders are invited to worship with their parents in the Sanctuary until after the "Moments with our Children." Following this children's worship, these young people may study in the Bridges to Worship class or remain with their parents in the Sanctuary. There is no Bridges to Worship at 11:15.

Child care is available during evening Communion services for Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday, and for Christmas Eve worship services in the nursery and classrooms. Frequently, we have child care during special events such as evening classes, concerts, and some children's choir rehearsals. Loving couples, moms and dads, or our Youth provide this care.
