Praying in Color at the Generations of Women Luncheon

Spring is here, which means it’s time to get all the women of the church together to celebrate! Our annual potluck Generations of Women Luncheon will be held Sunday, April 6 at 12:15 p.m. in fellowship hall. This year’s theme is “Praying in Color.” We will explore using color and design to put a new dimension into our prayer lives, as well as make a difference in the lives of the children of the Main Street Child Development Center.

Invite all your gal pals – this is not an event to be missed! All women – young, old and in between – are invited. No RSVP  is necessary, just make sure to put the date on your calendar, your refrigerator, your night stand – where ever you can be sure you won't miss it! If you need more information, contact Cate Rodman through the church office.

*This is a super casual potluck lunch. Bring something – anything – or if you forget or just can't, just bring yourself. We never run out of food! If you feel you absolutely can't come without bringing something, grab  some grapes, cheese or crackers on your way. Better yet, send a guy to get it and deliver so you don't miss anything. This is about being together, sharing and having fun!

Our 5th annual Generations of Women Luncheon we will be a Mad Hatter celebration with crazy hats and lots of fun! The luncheon will be Sunday, March 4 right after the second service. This is a regular potluck – not a tea party, despite the name – so bring a dish* and a friend! Women, young, old and in-between, are invited. No RSVP is necessary, but make sure you put it on your calendar, on your refrigerator, on your nightstand, wherever!

At the past four luncheons, we have met new friends, deepened existing relationships, ate good food (of course!) and learned something along the way. I can’t wait for this year! If you have questions, please contact presbyterianwomen@fairfaxpresby.com.

Spring “Scentsational” Luncheon

It’s almost spring, and that means it’s time for another Generations of Women Luncheon, a potluck fiesta for women of all ages to enjoy.

This year we will explore the world of smells (pleasant ones only!), both through yummy food and fun activities. The last three luncheons have provided opportunities for reunions, new friendships, learning more about ourselves and others, relaxing and rejoicing, so if you’ve never been to one before, don’t miss it this year!

Bring a dish if you can; if you forget, or just run out of time or energy, don’t fret! Come anyway, and try to bring a friend, aunt, sister or daughter.

It promises to be a “scentsational” gathering for all women of all ages—no RSVP required, please just show up!

We’ll gather in the fellowship hall after the 11:15 a.m. service. See you there!

'Prayer Beads'

All women, girls to grandmas, are invited to the Presbyterian Women's annual luncheon on Sunday, March 13 at 12:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall. This potluck luncheon is a great time to connect and reconnect with the women of FPC.

This year's theme is Prayer Beads: Strands for God. If you have beads you'd like to show or share, please bring them!
