Ed Gross

Our community has been shocked by the sudden and unexpected death of Ed Gross, at his home on Wednesday evening.

Ed Gross, a member of Fairfax Presbyterian Church has been a treasured member of this congregation for many years. In 1992 Ed became Parish Associate at FPC.

Ed was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from the Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts in 1950. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1954 and earned his Master of Divinity in 1961 from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.

Ed was Pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Havelock, North Carolina until July 1963, when he became College Admissions and College Registrar at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

From July 1969 to his retirement in June 1996, Ed was employed by area colleges and corporations.

Ed is married to Sora Ann Coulter Gross. They have two daughters and a son, and are the proud grandparents of six beautiful grandchildren. Please pray for Sora, their children, grandchildren, and all of their extended family.

Visitation: Thursday, May 31 at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m.

Memorial Service: Friday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall.  Recording of this Service
