- GARY NELSON, a therapist with the Center for Pastoral Counseling of Virginia will be signing his book, A Relentless Hope: Surviving the Storm of Teen Depression, at Borders in Woodbridge on Sat, Aug 18 at 2 p.m. His book is the story of his own son’s battle with depression and how his family ‘survived the storm’ and he reflects on how teachers, ministers, therapists and family members can help youngsters dealing with depression.

THE SHEPHERD’S CENTER of Oakton-Vienna is a volunteer interfaith organization comprised of seniors helping seniors. They offer free medical transportation to medical appointments, companion shopping, friendly calls, and handy helpers for minor home repairs to seniors in our community. - HAVEN of Northern Virginia provides a variety of bereavement support groups: suicide loss bereavement groups; widow/widower support groups; and children/teen bereavement workshops.
