Focus On: The Teen Choir

By Kenneth Martin

This month our music focus is on The Teen Choir, which is our “traditional” choir for youth in grades six through eight. If you were present for the Advent Sermon in Music on December 9, you heard the Teen Choir sing with the Sanctuary Choir as part of the medley Caroling Around the World. The Teen Choir also combined with other youth, including the members of Encounter, to form a special “Teen/Encounter Choir” for the 7:30 p.m. service on Christmas Eve.

Teen Choir has three members at present: Mary Fesak, Kaitlyn Wender and Ethan Wescoat. There is plenty of room for more singers in this group! They rehearse on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. and then stay for “Choir 101” with the Sanctuary Choir from 7:30 to 8:00. For more information, contact Dr. Kenneth Martin
