Music for Worship on January 6

Epiphany (Communion)

Anthem (both services) -- "If We Truly Believe" by Don Besig;

sung by an Adult Vocal Ensemble,

Dr. Kenneth Martin, director

This reflective piece calls us to the Lord's table for communion. It not only uses the "words of institution" from scripture during the refrain, but also quotes the melody of "Let Us Break Bread Together" in the accompaniment.

Our ensemble for this piece consists of members selected from the Sanctuary Choir.

Additional music in both services will be played on our Gress-Miles organ by Dr. Donna Whited

New Year's Resolution -- Become More Involved in Music at FPC

Make a New Year's Resolution to become more active and involved in the music program at FPC! There are opportunities for every member of the family, from Carol Choir and Chapel Choir for children to the handbell choirs (Joyful Ringers, Radiant Ringers), instrumental ensemble, and choirs for adults and youth. For more information about any of these, see Dr. Martin. If nothing else, resolve to sing the hymns more heartily in 2008 as a member of the congregation!
