ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Sanctuary Choir anthem at 8:45 is a preview of tonight's Abendmusik concert. This chorus from Handel's Messiah is based on Isaiah 53:6. The music is almost jubilant that we have all gone "astray," but then becomes stark with the realization that all of our sins have been laid upon Jesus. You can hear more of this music tonight! We are proud to feature our own Brass Quintet at 11:15: Beau Nygaard and Elizabeth Brauer, trumpets, Mike Egan, horn, and Tim Schroeder and Mark Schroeder, trombones.
Chapel Choir is planning a field trip on Sunday, April 27th to hear The Children's Chorus of Washington in a benefit concert at The Old Presbyterian Meetinghouse in Alexandria. The concert is free and open to the public with proceeds from the free-will offering going to support the United Orphanage and Academy in Moi's Bridge, Kenya. The concert begins at 3:00 pm and all are invited to go with us. Contact Donna Whited for more information (DonnaKayWhited@aol.com).
