ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Sanctuary Choir thanks the congregation and other friends for your support of last Sunday's Abendmusik concert! We deeply appreciate your attendance, your generosity in the special offering, your applause, your words of encouragement, and the reception after the program. We hope that hearing about our Messiah through our singing of portions of Handel's oratorio was as uplifting to you as it was thrilling for us!
The Encounter Music Team presents a rhythmic new arrangement of one of the all-time favorite Christian songs, Jesus Loves Me. As you listen, you will also hear a stanza from another favorite, Amazing Grace. Lloyd Pfautsch's Reconciliation directly quotes one of today's scripture passages. It is unusual not only in featuring accompaniment by a solo trumpet, but also in using a speech choir in a "spoken fugue" that interweaves the phrases of the text.
