Special-Gifts to the Sanctuary
The inscription on chancel Screen
The screen was given by Charles and Wilma Umholtz to honor the memory of their son, PFC Darrell Umholtz, killed in Vietnam in 1968. The words "For My House Shall Be Called A House of Prayer for all Peoples" are from
Isaiah 56:7 and were proposed by Dr. Maxwell Flapan to reflect FPC's commitment to all its members.
Pulpit Bible
The large pulpit Bible was a gift of our sponsoring parish, the Vienna Presbyterian Church.
Celtic Cross and Silver Communion Chalice
The beautiful Celtic Cross hanging above the altar and silver communion chalice on the communion table were given by G. Allan and Priscilla Brown in memory of their son, Robert.
Christ Candle
The Christ Candle is dedicated to the Glory of God, in memory of the Rev. Edward B. Gross and Sora C. Gross. Ed and Sora reflected the light of Christ to this congregation for decades, along with their children Lisa, Sallie and Ed, Jr. The Christ Candle has been donated by the Sarah Circle, of which Sora was a member for many years.

The bright brass altar vases made in Israel were given by Edna Louise Flapan and Aurelia Howland in memory of their husbands, Maxwell Flapan and The Reverand A. Ray Howland.
Baptismal Bowl
The Baptismal Bowl was given by Mr. and Mrs. Chester F. Low in memory of their daughter, Rebecca Ann.
Commemoration Tablets and Walnut Box
The Commenmoration Tablets and Walnut Box were designed and built by Jack Leo, artisan craftsman of our congregation. The two tablets were given by Bernice Black to honor her husband, Paul, and those who rest on the Glebe. The box is used in Glebe interment services.
Malmark Bells
The five octave Malmark Bells were given by a number of individuals in memory of loved ones. The FPC handbell choirs enrich our worship and are an important element of the music ministry of the church.
